https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/avian-influenza-bird-flu/quick-takes-more-avian-flu-michigan-cows-mrna-h5n1-vaccine-initiativeThis has news releases from Minnesota. Currently, the first article is about finding another Dairy virus positive herd in Michigan in a new county, but the article of note is the second article in the list. Virginia Tech ran a study to look at the prevalence of Covid in wild animals. They trapped animals and tested some at rehabilitation centers and found covid in a wide range of different species. It looks like human to wildlife spread is common, and is probably occurring in every state not just Virginia.
This is scary because Covid came from wild animals. We don't need it to evolve into something worse than it already is.
