Retrocausality.
What the hell does this have to do with evolution?
Nothing.
EVERYTHING!
It's actually about "Origins" as in "Talk.Origins," the movie.
Or play. Or book. Or... usenet group.
My gut tells me that it has to be true and to some extant must
be confirmed scientifically.
"Gut."
Because it's more or less an interpretation. It's a way of
looking at things. And that, my dears, is why I think it so
relevant here.
Retrocausality is an exercise. It asks us to break the bad
habits instilled within us and see not the evidence but
ourselves. It helps us to see what we our attaching to the
evidence.
It's not about the evidence, it's about /How/ you look at
the evidence, how you interpret it.
This itself is not new. Do the Google on the Copenhagen
Interpretation. The exact same observations can be explained
(I would say "Better explained") with the Multiverse.
Same evidence/observations, different interpretations...
Exercise your brain on this for a bit, then turn your attentions
to Aquatic Ape: What is it you've been perceiving as "Evidence"
which really just interpretation?
