  My reference to the dingdong's meme is the point.  What worked for it
this time was the high inflation due to corporate profit-taking, and
the porous border; both in-your-face visible and easy to whine about.
My guess is dingdong's "shrewdness" will create lots of problems to
whine about.

You're not wrong, of course, but I doubt said dingdong's cultists will be capable of putting two and two together. They will either insist things are great despite all evidence to the contrary (after all, if things are bad for the whitebreads but TERRIBLE for the queers and the browns, that's what the GOP base wanted) or they'll blame any problems on Democratic "obstructionism."
At this point, all I can do is hope the fascists are characteristically inefficient, and waste most of their time and political capital backstabbing each other and fighting to be next in line to lick Dear Leader's boots.
