If the immigration crackdown ever happens food prices will skyrocket for any vegetables or fruit grown in the US. There won't be a large enough labor force to harvest and tend the crops. A lot of the dairy workers and poultry farm workers are illegal immigrants. This was one of the main reasons that the dairy workers avoided being tested or medically evaluated. If millions of illegal immigrants are deported there won't be a labor force to harvest the crops that fill supermarket shelves. Everyone would be paying more for less.
