It didn't look any different, the section about 1616 in the Wayback
Machine copy of the Wiki article on 6th Aug 2020, just 3 days before
your original post about the geocentric guy is exactly the same as it
is today.r
 
Why do you deny stuff that is there in black and white? It is either
your recall that is faulty or you completely misunderstood the Wiki
article, mixing it up with what the geocentric guy tried to argue.

Please stop trying to run away from the issue at hand which is your
persistent claim that Galileo faced a charge of heresy and that the
Wiki article says so. The Wiki article says no such thing and never
did. Cardinal Bellarmine Cardinal Bellarmine explicitly stated that
Galileo had been neither tried nor otherwise condemned. He was the
most senior cardinal in the Vatican at that time and was the one who
dealt directly with Galileo on behalf of the Pope but apparently you
think you know better.


Not only that, but your own trusted source claimed that Galileo
faced as charge of heresy both times.

None of my sources claimed that as reflected in the fact that you
cannot cite them saying so. (Posting 47k of text and claiming it is in
there 'somewhere' is not a cite, it's just childish behaviour)
