aura of a sudden change in the safety of our food ..

Most of those experts serve corruption within the American regulatory
system, and neglecting sanitary rules allows to significantly increase
profits in the food industry, and this interest decides everything. In this field, Europe-style "socialist" regulations seem preferabler.
Given the American popular foods are known to be oftenly contaminated
with e. coli, ie. feces, calling Americans shit eaters would be not an insult but rather a statement of fact.
Btw, eating feces does not necessarily lead to a serious illness, and
consequences may be seen non-immediately. THere was in the recent news, one American progressive rock singer demonstratively ate shit right at

on the food situation in the U.S.
