State Farm is NOT there: California's largest insurer will
discontinue coverage of 72,000 homes in the state over
inflation and risk of CATASTROPHES like wildfires and floods
California 's largest insurance company will stop offering
insurance to 72,000 homes across the state due to the increased
risk of natural disasters

IMHO, this is the right decision for insurers. California has been very lax
in controlling their land to make preventing fires and other natural issues
easier to stop before they cause damage to insured property. Such disasters
are easily prevented in many other states. California should do more to
control their natural areas.
