https://phys.org/news/2024-07-results-titanium-nuclear-varying-distances.htmlResults suggests titanium-48's nuclear structure changes
when observed at varying distances
. . .
Interesting stuff.
Ti-48 CAN have a classical nuclear structure BUT if
you use some energy to try and pin that down it seems
to spit two protons into a sort of orbit around the
main nucleus - a very odd structure ... almost
"Calcium +2".
QM teaches that "observation" changes what you're
observing - ie 'tampering' shakes-up things, can
kinda force atoms/systems into some or another
"observed reality".
In any case, Titanium is an important modern-tech
metal. This weirdness may impact that at times.
