Atlanticist support for the [ugly and unpromising] Kiev regime
has become burdensome, and any sane one can see it. Americans,
even those of them who are the most dumb, still can recall the
fact that the Euros managed to unwind those two world wars while
the U.S. helped ending them. However, this time America itself -
at least its "liberal" / neocon / "deep state" faction - joined
the club of morons by provoking the Ukraine war. Trump now tries
to turn it toward deescalation through "carrot and stick" means.
The fact is, Trump's options to apply "stick" to Russia - so as
not to damage American interest as well - are now limited,
given that Biden administration exhausted most of this resource.
Today Trump issued a threat of new "big sanctions" on Russia.
If any, one can hardly expect it would be very effective.

We live in a tightly closed loop planetary economy now:
there is nowhere to have "a little war far awa' to raise
the price of man an' beast", so War has no tangible
human benefit$.

Since we are still gonna need Civil Defense in the years to
come, I would begin by relocating the department of defense
under whatever department is responsible for public heath
and welfare.
