dirty work.

nohup(1) automagically redirects stdout and stderr.

Next problem is, I had to copy the
Linux source tree back to the NAS
before rebooting...and that seems to take longer than the build(!).

 
Perhaps you've found why there's no economy in "faster builds", but I
suspect you'll carry on...

Nobody said anything about economy -- I'm just wrenching
