Faggot is a derogatory slur that has been used against gay men. Its origins are unrelated to the political or historical concepts represented by "fasces" or "fascism".
Fasces is an ancient Roman symbol representing a bundle of rods bound together around an axe. It was later adopted by fascist regimes as a symbol of power and unity.
