Joan's a member of the Sisterhood. She's connected to Dave and Jill,
two women who think they can moderate this group. If you disagree,
they killfile you, like Dave already has. Jill will follow soon.

Ed's not a member, but a sympathiser. He wants to be liked by the
Sisterhood, because they're women and Ed wants to be liked by women.
But he's too independent to become a full member.
