That's exactly why Doctor Who was cancelled in 1989. But that
doesn't mean fans should be happy to see the show they love
cancelled or put on a long hiatus...
Too bad the management almost killed the BBC in the process.
At a guess I'd say the BBC are in a worse state now than they
were back then...
The BBC bosses didn't like "Doctor Who" back in the 1990's and
preferred to spend its budget producing other shows... now they
are struggling to find money for "Doctor Who" and have to go
begging cap in hand to big media companies like Disney.
