- the option to _not_ display replies to posts where the
  replied-to post had not been downloaded in that newsgroup (e.g.
  the reply was x-posted from another ng)
- the ability to add simple customised headers

How is that actually, that's just a modded version of the newsreader, isn't it? I remember trying that particular reader before but not liking it.
