HHH is incorrect in assuming the there is an infinite chain, but this incorrect assumption makes that it aborts and halts. This applies both to the simulating and the simulated HHH.

That is clear. The finite string that is the input specifies a halting program. Proven by direct execution, by the simulation by the world class simulator and even by HHH1.
Only brain dead morons or despicable liars would think
that they can the away with simply ignoring the fact
that DDD its own emulator.
When I say that HHH cannot possibly simulate itself correctly up to the end, I do not ignore that HHH simulates itself.
But olcott thinks, ignoring the overwhelming evidence, that the fact that HHH stops the simulation before it reaches the end, proves that the simulation does not halt.
