As every sufficiently competent C programmer knows, C is portable. Fix your code so that it doesn't need Rube Goldberg scaffolding, because only an idiot is going to spend an indeterminate amount of time trying to wrestle an operating system into existence just so that they can see your code getting the answer wrong.
