There's nothing wrong with wanting an algorithm that can tell me if any arbitrary algorithm X with input Y will halt when executed directly. It has a correct answer in all cases.
It's just that no algorithm exists that can compute it, as proven by Linz and as you have *explicitly* agreed is correct.
