I have to agree with you here. In fact, you've put your finger on the precise reason that it's nutty to try to analyse a program's termination behaviour by simulating it.

 Unless like every competent programmer
HHH can spot the repeating pattern of DDD

correct emulation.
You and I have very different ideas of 'correctness'. I get the idea that you're fairly proud of your Halt7/utmx86/whatever system. To me, it just looks like a bugfest, with 'bodge' written right through it. That's bad enough, but to me what's even worse is that you clearly have no interest in fixing it. In my book, that makes you a cowboy with no interest in doing a good and correct job.
Worse still is that you constantly present yourself in the worst possible light. Any point you may or may not have about Linz's work is wholly obscured by your constant rebuffs of constructive dialogue and your mindless repetition (over and over and *over* again) of what in many cases is sheer nonsense. It's as if you're trying to piss people off so much that they can no longer be arsed to disagree with you.
Yippee-ki-yay, cowboy.
