True, I tend to answer that one publicly over and over again- but certainly not universally. ;-) It's still "the gospel according to Hans Bezemer" - for those who haven't gotten the memo yet.

In my case it was a library (application template?) and libraries in Forth are
on the nose (Moore won't even re-use his own code).  That was the reference.
So maybe I shouldn't be surprised if users have stayed clear - even if I use
it literally daily and wouldn't be without it.  OTOH it might be a portability
thing - users sticking with the standard I/O functions.
