As for "significantly degraded performance", as long as you stick with
ITC, my results don't show that.
Indeed I have to admit (after I did a few
bechmarkings later), that on ITC the difference
is actually negligible. Maybe this is the reason
fig-Forth people didn't bother.
But I'm going to test a few other DTC/STC Forths;
curious about the results.
