I have found that even sites that contain json data do not provide
consistent (across sites) methods of fetching the data. It is
worse when the data are not as organized as json data, but it is
distributed in unique ways for the specific site.

I imagine it would be very easy to write scripts to pull in what ever regular www site you might like and move it to gopher. I found it sad that gemini came into being and split the energies between gopher and gemini.
