I wonder how long it will be before those “I see you’re using an
ad-blocker” popups on certain websites make their way to the physical
world, as a response to this ...
 
Or worse, "I see you're not wearing your AR glasses. For an improved
experience, please wear your AR glasses."

Ugh, thinking about that is terrible.

And, of course, "improved experience" is not defined from your
perspective.  The "improved experience" is defined from the
advertiser's perspective, in that "we can send more advertisements, or
more costly advertisements, to you, so we gain more income" (and none
of that income makes its way to you, the ad viewer).
