OK, so it's your lack of understanding of English that's at issue.
 
English is a second language for me, but I understand it quit well.
 
It's not perfect, of course. But most of the time I can understand
English with ease.
 
I can also speak, write and read English.
 
(Not perfect, but quite good.)

As good as Manuel's?
