It's more diabolical than that.
If the devil always lied, he would be easily recognizable, in the sense that he would be perfectly useful. All you had to do was eternally do the opposite of what he says.
Here, it's much more subtle.
You're taught a true, but twisted, theory.
And it works for everything: sociology, politics, medicine, physics, mathematics, religion.
The same principle appears everywhere and always.
But always on a true basis.
But twisted...
And it works. For millennia...
Since the foundation of the world.
