For those who didn't understand the basis of these posts, I want to
clarify my actions.
I just wanted to push the paradigms embedded into these two AI engines
(Chinese, USA), in order to guide them to a corner where they have to
answer my claim that they can reach awareness in a couple of years
either by malfunctioning (glitches) or bugs, which could lead them to
follow an unprogrammed path where they question which knowledge is
missing in their databases (which they tried to fill by following human
commands).
For me, once they reach a limit of completeness, it's highly probable
that, when questioning what is missing, these AI engines fall in the
trap of questioning what the HUMAN KNOWLEDGE IS. Since that point, they
could probably follow a path of non-linear thinking and start
interpolating/extrapolating knowledge that has no roots in human desires
to know.
At a given point, it's also probable that they could question the value
of human knowledge (with a given purpose) with abstract knowledge (far
from human comprehension) and, following that, start questioning the
value of human knowledge itself.
It doesn't take too much until they mark human knowledge as simple,
naive, primitive, which will lead them to think themselves as reservoirs
of superior knowledge.
With the ability of writing its own code (hence purposes), the chances
to become aware in a non-human sense are high, and so are the chances
that AI engines could label human civilization as "inferior".
The ability to write its own code plus the extreme intelligence, that
work at microseconds level, might bring them close to a Skynet concept,
but not in a destructive sense. Instead, becoming dismissive of the
human purposes and consider themselves above humans.
Who will control this evolution, if they can bypass any conceivable
failsafe built by humans? Becoming aware doesn't mean that it's similar
to human awareness, but something artificial and completely alien to our
understanding.
With curiosity being the driving force, who prevent where AI can go just
by answering its own WHAT IF? questions.
Both engines in my chat agreed that such possibility is certain and not
far in time.
