It is quite possible.
It seems that this was the place where the Russians stored uranium.
It is impossible to know that uranium had a critical mass and would explode in an atomic bomb.
It is therefore possible that a fortuitous accident occurred by piling uranium on uranium.
And producing a critical mass without knowing it.
The genius of scientists then consisted in saying we know that it explodes, we must find a way
to control, or even miniaturize it.
