What Kodaira does actually is build his own real-analytic setting
then he shows that it applies to whatever those complex-analytic
sorts purport to support, that Kodaira's "topological surgery" in
the interests of "integral analysis" is exactly _not_ an extension
in deMoivre/Euler/Gaussian-style (complete) analysis.
It's a replacement because the complex-analytic falls apart,
an emplacement.
So, Kodaira is known for being _independent_ complex analysis,
_in_ analysis, real-analytic.
Now run to your prayer booth and request its judgment on that.
