Paul doesn't understand that part of the scientific method is the
derivation. For the derivation to be correct, it must be not only
mathematically and logically consistent and falsifiable but also have a
rational physics basis. One cannot add the effects of refraction to
those of gravity to double the deflection by claiming a wave-particle
duality unless you're a loon.

 According to GR the formula for gravitational deflection of
EM-radiation by the Sun is:
