 There is some degree of _mess_ right now in USA which is funny, cause it has also been unavoidable; and not because the government here is anything more important than an entity run by baboons, but because this time around the ramifications will go beyond being just political. Far reaching economical changes are in store. China hasn't backed down, and they know what they're doing. So prices of material goods here will jump up by a factor of about 4.
 Military industrial complexes are reaping you off every day. Even dispute with India over tariffs isn't over. Who killed those 26 or so Hindus and whose money did that? They were no "Pakestanis".
 And the explosion in Iran's port?.. Somebody has been treating these old ancient people like they are their "Lebanon." Who is pest enough to do that.
 If India bans tech help to Americans, 3/4th of the American tech job positions delivered by Indians from within India suddenly gets emptied. Those employees were getting paid nothing that special and can find other jobs fast with similar pay, but Americans will have to pay 4 times higher salaries to replace the Indians with American techs here. So anything tech-related will also jump 4-fold in price if the dispute with India isn't resolved.
 Oh, you got Arabs, right? Lowering the price of oil only goes so far. It can't remedy a huge price jump across USA. Say, how far more can you raise the prices of houses here? I just checked the existing data. China's export to USA is only 15% of China's export to countries other than USA...
So they can kiss it goodbye for any length of time they want, and easily make up for it by exporting a tiny bit more to other countries in the world.
Trump should've placed tariffs on goods from any country _other_ than China. He did the exact opposite.
China doesn't even have to kiss it goodbye, as many Chinese stuff that comes here will continue to be purchased by the Americans who pay 4 times the price. People here need MAGA hats, no? They'll keep buying them from China at four times the price.
