No it doesn't do. Not even to my dick's standards.
It does not, far enough, clarify the inches and miles talked about are in horizontal direction or in vertical.. So material is defective.
One has to just GUESS such an obviously important aspect of the calculation. Not one instance of the word "horizontal" is given, and yet Darwin may have meant horizontal lengths.
